Owners cottage
This modern 2 bedroom 2 bath home is just a short walk from the main facilities of the guest ranch. It has wonderful views of the Black Mountain range, and is valued at about $250,000.
Views of the Black Mountain Range
From its perch across the valley from Mt Mitchell, the highest mountain east of the Rockies, Clear Creek Ranch has a panoramic view of the Black Mountains. From here, you can see 4 of the 10 highest peaks in the eastern US.
Main Lodge/Clubhouse
Pictured here is the main lodge, where the dining room, commercial kitchen, main gathering place, Gift Shop and Office spaces are contained.
Cantina and Guest Cottage
The right edge of the main lodge is on the left, the Cantina in the center of the photo, and one of the guest cottages are ont he right. The deck from where the photo is taken, is just above the in-ground pool and the commercial size hot tub. The photo is, of course, taken out of season. The Guest Ranch has an alcohol permit and is able to serve wine, beer, and mixed drinks on the premises.
Guest House
This is one of the newest guest cottages, and just a short walk from the main lodge. In all, the Guest Ranch can accommodate more than 50 guests in units that sleep 2 to 4 people, either one or two bedrooms. There are private bathrooms in every unit.

Dining Hall
This is the dining hall in the main Lodge. It is capable of seating up to 100 guests at a time. At the far end is the meeting room with its big stone fireplace. On the right, windows open out to the wonderful views of the mountains.
Pasture and Ponds
The property includes 58 acres, including ponds and pastures. The ranch comes with tractor, trucks, mowing equipment, sheds and barns, and 55 horses (approx). During the winter months the horses are pastured in another location and brought to the ranch just before opening day. This keeps the pasture from being overworked. Many guests like to fish for trout in the ponds, and on occasion, the ranch has a "fish fry" dinner.
Feeding barn
This is the feeding barn, and up and to the left, out of view, is the corral.
Equine Care Facilities
Shown is the tack barn, feed storage, and other equine care facilities.
Bunk house
This is the "bunk house" which has a number of single rooms, as well as an apartment for the lead wrangler. On site are several mobile homes also for work staff. During the summer, a number of employees are hired annually, usually from the veterinary colleges.
RV Campground
Also on site is a full-hook-up campground with 8 plus pull-thru camping spaces, each with septic, electric, and water.
